Seattle and London

Tough day to work. It is national letter of intent day (LOI) with all the high school super stars formally announcing the college to which they intend to accept a full football scholarship. It is important to us (University of Washington) to do well and bring in kids who can have an immediate impact. We are a couple of hours into the ceremony and doing quite well so far. There is an old saying 'round these parts on days like today: It's a good day to be a Husky. Indeed. If you have a free minute check out these sick virtual highlights on each of the young pups. Very impressive use of the cgi.

I am fast and furious into the London gig. Looking for sponsorship. This is the Olympics. Happens on a huge global stage once every four years. 2012 is in London. Last time it was there was 1948. When I was merely the RCVtwinkleinDadseye. This is bigger than Ben. I am going to spend a week filming the four Olympic Cycling venues, track, the 44K Time Trail course, the 250K Road course, the track oval and the BMX course. The idea is to then create a boxed set of courses in time for the real deal in July. Here is the offer du jour:

I take your logo, affix it to a van (lorry) and show it to 7.7 million Brits, 24/7 for a week. You get photo ops and video of your brand at all the Olympic venues and all London points of interest. You also get embed video and links on all our sites, blogs and social media. In a nutshell: If you want to have your product on the Olympic center stage, I can deliver this for $2,500*. Yes we can.

I am going to put together a quick promo piece to illustrate the value in all of this later this afternoon for tomorrow's post. There is a limit to the number of participants, so please, if you or someone you know is interested in Olympic branding, please send inquiries my way. Pronto.

Pic: We ended the last day of January celebration with tea and coffee. Day one of no beer and no glutens under way. I don't think it is a violation to suggest to incoming frosh that Seattle is a lovely place to live (and England a lovely place to visit).
