It also appears like our partnership with Trek and Trek Travel is getting the green light from all parties, so RCVman will be back on the road (not a moment too soon) heading down to shoot three legs of their California Wine Country tour, starting in Santa Barbara. This May 2-5, so stay tuned. Just for the record, Dave and I have worked two IM Wisconsin Expos and he was my driver at Ironman Louisville in 2007. At one point we got a little ahead of the race leaders and ON MY INSTRUCTIONS we blew thru a four-way intersection narrowly avoiding a nasty broadside from a retired couple with glasses thicker than coke bottles. A few meters down the road I also instructed Dave to pay no attention to the Kentucky State Patrol officer behind us with his lights ablaze and his siren a wallin'. After all my gyrations in the attempt to show the officer that we were "official", we pulled over. All this is cleverly covered up in the IM Louisville RCV (Disc 2) by some creative editing and a "You Are Here" sign. The cop was hot and when he asked us why we shouldn't both be in jail right now and our car impounded, Dave told him. It was at that point that I had to step into the conversation and eat a HUGE PLATE of CROW, apologize, take responsibility for my poor directions and promise to NEVER EVER do that again.
Until the next time we had to, of course.

I'd like to get Sam's whole team on some bikes. A lot of kids do fine until they are rounding third then they run out of gas (which seems a little early). Too bad President Kennedy's school fitness test got axed. I guess I need to write a letter to President Obama.
We should start a National Multi-Rider Camp for Kids. Then, in twenty years they would ask about the genesis of the term, "running out of gas." I think Mr. Obama would be receptive to the idea. RCVman volunteers his entire staff and all resources towards the endeavor.
If only you knew someone in DC who works in a public school....and knows the Mayor...
Someone willing to lobby our case and be an ambassador of good will? Someone who has been to Lake Placid and Wildflower? Someone who owns a bike but not a car??? Yes, if only....
