Dawgs Dominate Dash.
Bainbridge Island, WA.
The first annual DAWG-DUCK DASH is in the blogs. On a crisp, beautiful day for walking Dubs in the park, the purple and gold Dawg squad took the top four places with nary a mallard in sight.
"It was a super day for a race with perfect conditions", said overall winner Stephanie Huey Rohl, whose 26:13 clocking is now the course record. For her effort Ms Rohl, (shown at left in an RCVman photo) took home a stunning white Timex Ironman chronometer.
Rounding out the top-dogs were Chris Harvey and Eric Johnson, shown below hitting the finish cones at full speed.
"It's a great day to be a Dawg," commented Mr. Harvey. "Let's keep the mojo dialed up for the contest tonight."
Mr. Johnson's dog Spot, (pictured above) the official DAWG-DUCK DASH mascot, although a Jack Russell terrier, agreed that today, as most days, it's better to be a dog than a duck.
WOOF!
