Seattle UTT in the can

The beta Urban Time Trial, shot in Seattle this morning under perfect conditions, is in the can. It's actually rendering in Final Cut Pro, but 'in the can' sounds more Hollywood, so we'll go with that. I think we got it. From what I have seen so far this will be fun. RG and Bob masterfully captured three laps of the six mile course providing the base footage for the soon to be released video. When that happens we will be heading over to CycleVidz.com for the video download, contest, blog and commemorative jerseys sales. This is just the start, as you will shortly see. And see why.

However, as tomorrow is also Day One of Bernie's Big Adventure, aka, Fun 101, and we will be riding the 72 miles between BI and Port Angeles, I am not going to have time to cut even a promo preview of what we shot today. You will have to hold your horses until we have logged 365 miles around the Olympic Peninsula, or Friday, which ever comes first.

I would like to thank everyone who helped us out along the way today, JLRacing for the skin suit kit, Speedy Reedy for the super slick Cervelo P3 and helmet, RG for his immense patience and wheel skills and Bob for his great camera work. Could not have done any of it without you.

Still lot's to do tonight, so I'll quietly leave you with a few pix from this glorious first day of May, 2011.

Top to Bottom: The Seattle waterfront at 0545.
My trailer must have gotten lost, so the Kia subbed for changing.
The lines of the P3, nice bones.
Out of the Kia and onto the streets of Seattle.
The guys at Speedy Reedy and the RCVman post shoot.
An artsy shadow shot of dubious merit.
