The phone rings.
Somebody wants me to do something they don't want to.
Begrudgingly, I agree.
I don't want to do it either.
The questions begin:
Why do people do what they do knowing full well,
that their actions will have negative reactions?
Is it so hard to connect the dot of cause
to the dot of effect?
Is it so hard to simply 'be yourself'
because most of us see ourselves as boring?
We need constant, unrelenting, stimuli
to feel like we're not missing something?
Are we addicted, obese, lazy and numb
because we will not take the time to stop and listen?
To really hear what cellular activity and
the sound of calm is?
Do no harm.
Do what must be done.
Do not over promise or under preform.
Do not take the easy way.
Do add gratitude.
Do add humility.
Do tip the waiter.
Do the work.
Do the best you can.
Do be patient with others.
Do laugh more than is 'normal'
Do take care of yourself.
The phone rings again.

i just take Spot for an example. he doesn't have time for the phone.
See Spot run.
i get it. i'll bet you a thousand dollars i can do the rhoady next year under 50 minutes.
rhody
Well, OK. If that will provide the motivation necessary for a concentrated and consistent training regimen for ten months, than I'll take that bet. Wouldn't it be more exciting, however, to wager one large on beating me instead of an impersonal (and random) number?
I can see the finish line: Me, You and Spot!!!!!
you'd likely have a heart attack as Spot bit down hard on your ankle as I passed you on that corner near those big houses. i can see it all now...
As it is obvious yoose toos are double teaming me, the odds should be 2-1. Only fair.
The way I felt at those houses this year, a Spot bite would have felt better.
