In 2007 RacerMate Inc of Seattle, Wa. hired me to produce their new software line of products to be called, TA DA, Real Course Videos. So almost overnight I became (cue the theme music) RCVman. This is the story of my work on the road, filming triathlons and searching for true love. Some things never change.

Empathy
In celebration of Earth Day we have posted two videos. Vid numero uno is a 90 second highlight piece from the Sea Otter Classic Men's Cat 3&4 Criterium shot by, and produced by, your loyal (and obedient) host. Vid numero dos is 100 times more important, 1000 times more entertaining, and 1000000 times more urgent.
So please get the 90 seconds out of the way, and then pay attention to the message of the ten minute video.
Yet another lesson in humility. And empathy.
Happy Earth Day fellow cycling sojourners.
i just ripped off that rifkin piece and posted it to FB. hope you don't mind.
ReplyDeletei said or was thinking during spin class that leo kottke makes those same sounds as rodrigo and gabriela with just his twelve string: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tew_fIhz3eY
leo has some good spin songs like: 'Up Tempo' and 'Buckeroo'. lives in MN.
that phish song was great. they are in that same boat with your favorite band though. its all good.

ReplyDeleteLeo Kottke has a lot of great songs like "Rings". He doesn't like to sing much though as he doesn't like his voice much apparently.
Not a problem, mate. I have played, interestingly enough, a Kottke/Gordon cover (Mike Gordon is the bass player from Phish) of a Boston tune (Sweet Emotion). Yes, that boat. It rocks. I saw Leo at the Trubador in LA in 1969. He played barefoot and I thought I had finally met my prime role model. Of course the next week I saw The Dead and haven't been the same since. (A good thing)
